to the friend that drifted away - microshort

Collaboration between Aaron Sinclair Film Ltd. and Bokeh Media, likely to shoot over the course of a weekend (tentative dates - May 8-10). No budget at the moment. Self-tapes due April 20th.
KAYA
Female 23-33
Kaya is sensitive and hopeful. She values her friendships deeply and has a hard time letting go of someone she cares about. She carries the weight of this with her while she tries to move on. Kaya admires how Seline moves through life and because of this is willing to tolerate things that bother her.
Sides
(This is voiceover, inner dialogue)
I think about sending you a message every single day.
I know that we could be having brunch or wine on a
patio laughing while we spill our guts if I just asked
for it. I wonder if you'll always be the friend that
drifted away; the one who quietly stopped participating
in the friendship.
SELINE
Female 23-33
Seline is intentional (at times calculated). It's important to her that she appears to have her life in order. She finds her sense of identity in things that interest her and is quick to remove interests, pursuits and people that do not reinforce her identity.
Sides
(Toasting her best friend on her Birthday)
Okay everyone! I just wanted to say a little something
about our dear, sweet, wonderful Kaya. Kaya it's been
so special to me that we've gotten as close as we have
over these last few years.

HERE ARE SOME SELF-TAPE TIPS
when i lost you - short film
Poetic, reflective, voice-over type short. Aiming to be less than 90 seconds so it can be posted on social media. Jo reflects on passing moments near the end of his relationship with Cassidy - trying to decipher exactly when it was that he lost his love. A reflective, moody and aesthetic film that is simple but effective. Feel to free to apply as a couple if applicable.
No budget, a small honorarium will be available, nonunion.
JO
Male, 25-32.
Jo is kind and caring and interested in building a healthy and mature relationship. He cares about quality time spent with his partner. He likes to keep a clean, comfortable, safe home. He is sophisticated but in a homey and grounded kind of way.
CASSIDY
Male, 25-32.
Cassidy is fun and energetic and outgoing. He is a little bit messy and indecisive. He likes to be the center of attention and enjoys being around Jo because he likes to give him attention.
As these roles are a romantically involved couple - there is a general sense of closeness & intimacy in the film (laying together, holding hands, touching an arm or shoulder etc). Our priority is always to create a safe environment for cast and crew.

JO SIDES:
Jo: I'm not sure when I lost you. I know that it happened slowly but at one point in time you were mine and I was yours. And then somewhere down the road, that was no longer true.
